Then onto the visuals....
Desktop and tablet users are able to view the full product details on the category page. The tables allow a customer to view all of the options without having to click into each product main page.
For mobile users, we minimised the need to scroll when browsing products by opting for the grid view. We tailored the mobile site to give the best posible experience for the user, whilst also allowing them the full functionaility from the website..
Next we developed the website...
We added a size guide feature to the website as this can be essential for clothing prducts, as many brands vary in sizes. We noticed a rise in the conversion rates since we added this function.
With hundreds of categories the menu needed totally re-working. Allowing the customer to drill down to third-level categories, increased the usability and therefore the conversion rate on site.
Most of the products on their website are clothing, so when we built the website we also introduced product attributes for size, colour, price and more. This allowed customers to quickly filter and find what they needed.
The client wanted to offer discounts on Barbour shirts when bought with a Jacket. We developed a feature to allow him to easily do this in the admin and we created graphics to display this to customers.
We noticed a high number of customers using the search, but not typing the correct name of making spelling mistakes. By developing a predictive search feature, users can see suggested terms when they start to type.
For websites that sell clothing and fashion, we always like to suggest using a wishlist. Users are now able to save items they like for later. We then have the option to send emails reminding them of items they left in their wishlist.
The new laws that came into place in May 2018 meant we had to make changes to the checkout process. There is now a clear message and checkout process explaning how the website will gather their data.
By creating a blog feature, we add fresh, new content every month to the website. By improving their SEO we have seen a huge increase in organic traffic in the last 12 months.
